The Radiant Surface Element generates heat to warm your cooktop. If your Surface Element isn't working properly, you may need to replace it.

In this video Mike from Point and Click Appliance Repair will take you through the guided step by step instructions to show you how to repair a GE Electric Range (model number JB650SF4SS) by replacing the Radiant Surface Element (part number WB30T10133).

Part number WB30T10133 replaces AP4345739, 1474218, PS2321567, AH2321567, EA2321567

WARNING: Before starting any repair always make sure that the appliance is cooled and completely disconnected from its power source by unplugging it.

Tools Needed:
- Needle Nose Pliers
- 1/4 inch Nut Driver
- Support (optional)

Step-by-step how to instructions for replacing the Radiant Surface Element (part number WB30T10133) in a GE Electric Range (model number JB650SF4SS)

1. Unplug the appliance & cool completely
2. Open the oven door
3. Remove 2 lower screws with Nut Driver
4. Lift up on cook panel and prop up with support
5. Pull out on clips securing the Surface Element to release
6. Gently pull the Surface Element out
7. Detach the hot cooktop indicator light
8. Pull on each wire to slide out of the element
9. Slide wires into place on the new Surface Element
10. Plug the indicator light back in
11. Place element near the clips
12. Pull on the clips to slide into place & secure the Element
13. Remove support
14. Slowly lower the cooktop back down
15. Reattach the two screws to secure the cooktop to the frame
16. Shut the oven door
17. Plug it in and try it out!
