The Blendtec HP3A blender is a 3 hp blender, little weaker than the 3 hp Vita Mix Vita Prep 1005. But it does a fairly good emulsifying job when it comes to the frozen carrot smoothie blending test. The result was much smoother and emulsified than with the 2 hp blenders, but not quite as nice as with with the Vita Mix 3 hp blender. by the way, the blendtec hp3a and the total blender are very much alike and are just about the same.
