It was time to leave Cairo and head to the south to Aswan, Egypt!
Aswan is about an hour and a half flight from Cairo, not too far from the Sudanese border in southern Egypt. The biggest attraction near Aswan, is the Abu Simbel temple complex. Which we will head to next.
The other attraction is the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel which is where we had booked our accommodations. What an amazing hotel—this is the the location where Agatha Christie wrote “Death on the Nile”—a crime novel considered by many to be one of her best.
After exploring the hotel, we spent the evening on a Felucca ride down the nile to watch the sunset over Aswan! Out Felucca captain, Ahmed provided an evening coffee service and provided a relaxing cruise with stunning vistas!
Next video we head to Abu Simbel--which is another 3 hour car ride from Aswan, but not to be missed! Be sure to turn on notifications to be reminded when that posts!
