Last weekend we had a Veteran prospecting day in Dunolly, famously known around the world for producing some of the biggest gold nuggets in history including the Welcome Stranger which was found by two Cornish miners on the 5th February 1869! Weighing in at a whopping 72kg and buried just below the surface! I hope you enjoy these gold finds, unfortunately we didn't find 72kg worth but I found gold and had an amazing time in the bush with mates! Good luck out there fellow prospectors!
