Mikaela Odemyr is a 49 year old mother of three children who have asthma and allergies. She lives in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. Mikaela is second Vice-President of the Swedish Allergy and Asthma Association, apart from being President of the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients' Associations (EFA). In this #SevereAsthma video, she tells us her story of what it means to be a carer and how the disease has an important role in the family routine. Taking care of children with allergies and asthma is a 24/7 task, “you are a mom or a dad, not a doctor and you always need to be one step ahead”, Mikaela says.
