Judges and staff from the State Courts have bade farewell to the old courthouse in Havelock Square. In a symbolic ceremony, judges and court officers circled the old court building before marching over to the new one, which is a stone's throw away. The nine-storey building, which has been around for more than 40 years, received conservation status in 2013.
It will be converted to house the Family Justice Courts from 2023. The new State Courts Towers are the tallest government building in Singapore, with more than 100 courtrooms and hearing chambers.
