OCR – Optical Character Recognition is an important extension of MyQ’s scanning workflows. Normally the scanned file is sent in a picture format and text contained cannot be edited.

OCR technology will convert it into searchable (such PDF) and editable (such as DOCX or XLSX) formats. With MyQ, you just press the Easy Scan button, MyQ server forwards the file to the OCR server that processes it, and then sends it to the predefined location.
In MyQ X, there are 3 OCR options:

👉 free searchable PDF format,
👉 a paid edition that supports other editable formats,
👉and your own OCR engine, which can be implemented in MyQ.
