Since first taking office, public safety has been and continues to be a top priority for Mayor Lenny Curry. He, along with members of the JFRD, went door to door in neighborhoods recently affected by house fires. If a resident does not have a working smoke detector, JFRD will come to your residence and install a new one for free. Last month, Mayor Curry announced a new position at the JFRD that will specifically deal with this issue, along with educating the community on what to do if there is a fire.
