Pamela Wedgwood is a former orchestral horn player, who later became an instrumental teacher in the county of Surrey, south of London, and then started composing by writing pieces for her pupils. Her series Jazzin’ about, for various different instruments, began to appear in print in 1988 and now includes more than 30 volumes. Rich harmonies in the piano part help give a jazzy character to this dreamy piece, with its slightly more urgent middle section (bars 13-20).
