This is the last in the series of 11 interviews with arts professionals discussing the effects of covid 19 on their careers - and their hopes and fears for the future. In this final interview Gemma Aston talks to her husband, Adrian Preater who is a self employed director of a small touring theatre company called Hotbuckle Productions.
These interviews delve into the lives of real people for whom connecting with others through creativity has been their life’s work. And who are now struggling to see a future amid the aftermath of a pandemic. Gemma has worked in the Arts and Culture Industry for 25 years, during that time she has connected with many, diverse, fascinating and talented people who work in the Arts and culture Industry. These people aren’t famous, you won’t recognise them, but between them, they tell a story that stretches from the beginning of time. Hearing from these front-line arts professionals will help de-generalise the recent campaigns to save our arts and events communities and will help to illustrate the diversity and complexity of an industry which generates £10.8 billion a year to the UK economy.
