Muslims around the world have been protesting against the slaughter of their co- religionists in Bosnia by staging protests in several cities.
In New Delhi, Muslims burnt an effigy of Boutros Boutros-Ghali on Friday to protest what they called the inability of the U-N chief to prevent attacks on Bosnian Muslims.
And in Pretoria, again Muslims showed their support for the Bosnian Muslims, calling the Serbs "butchers".
Thousands of Indian Muslims organized a protest Friday at Delhi's Jama Masjid (mosque).
After Friday prayers, the Naib Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bukhari gave a hard hitting speech in which he condemned the Western countries for what he called the sorry state of the Muslims in Bosnia.

"Today the USA considers itself to be the biggest protector of democracies in the world. The USA opposes a military regime if it assumes power in a friendly country. But USA and European Community closes their eyes when it comes to tackling the affairs of a Muslim country.

And in Pretoria, South Africa, hundreds of Muslims marched thought the streets carrying sympathetic banners for their Bosnian counterparts.
