The business circle of the Philippines expected that the visit of President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. to China will attract more investment to the Southeast Asian country.
At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Philippine president is scheduled to pay a state visit to China from Jan. 3 to 5, 2023.
It is the first foreign trip of President Marcos for the year, and it is his first bilateral visit to a non-ASEAN country since assuming the Presidency last June.
