DFID's new Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for International Development, Stephen O'Brien MP, met last week with people displaced by conflict in northern Uganda.

The first minister from the new UK government to visit Africa, Stephen O'Brien was on a fact finding trip to see how UK aid is helping people to lift themselves out of poverty.
On arriving in the country he immediately travelled to Gulu, to see how people in the area are rebuilding their lives after 2 decades of conflict - which drove some two million people from their homes.
