"The core of the CEQ is a 'stack' of a few heritage designs in one roof - most notably, the 'Pultec' bass and treble controls (expanded, exploded and with refined steps with true heritage inductors), a 'Neumann PEV' lathe/vinyl cutting amplifier midrange boost bell control and a hybrid passive/active mid bell cut control, among others - in one 5RU beast of an equalizer.
Beyond this, the CEQ offers the ability to run all of these filters together and 'single ended' by placing both the output transformers and an input buffer on switches for a variety of audio soundstage goals. The CEQ eliminates the search, restoration and need of cascading 2, 4 or 6 different rare vintage equalizers in series, keeping masters and mixes clear, vivid and colorful while giving all of the filter controls of multiple units under one roof.
Lastly, the novel 'Shift' control switches an entire second EQ filter set in the low filters of the EQ, giving an entirely different EQ soundstage and tonal shift of the whole unit. Essentially, it offers another build tone of the entire EQ with the flip of a switch."
