Walter Simonson’s social profiles tells us he’s "Just one more guy doing comic books,” which might be one of the biggest understatements we’ve ever read but it’s quite telling about Walt’s humble personality and the joy he continues to have working in comics. Adept as both a writer and artist, he’s probably best known for a run on Marvel Comics' Thor from 1983 to 1987, during which he created the character Beta Ray Bill. Over his almost 50 year career in comics, Walt’s worked for all the major publishers including DC, Marvel and IDW. With IDW and Scott Dunbier he’s helped assemble 4 Artist Editions from his work on THOR, Manhunter and his brilliant run on Star Wars with Tom Palmer - and has just finished work on his 3rd Ragnarok mini-series as well for IDW.
