I did not have the best starting hand...but managed to get a good flop.
Hi, this is Joe Matton, I am a World Series of Poker Ring event winner, live at the bike poker stream regular and corporate executive in the medical industry.
If you have a curiosity/interest in poker and you have a full life outside of poker, the Poker channel is designed specifically for you. If you are a hard core poker pro, I welcome you and your feedback on how I can improve my play.
I live in the Orange County California area. This YouTube channel will document my poker journey as a working professional, so this will be a raw portrayal of my poker experiences.
I love playing poker on stream because it allows me to learn from my experiences and it’s visible for my family and friends to see. I can’t hide the results! That transparency helps me to hold myself accountable and improve my overall play. Playing on camera is harder than looks too!
I am posting my positive and negative outcomes for full transparency and learnings. I welcome your constructive feedback on my poker play and feedback on how I can make this channel more engaging and fun to watch.
In the near future, I plan to add original content that provides detail on my thought processes for some of the difficult hands and situations I have faced. I will also document my journey via video on how I approach game day and will document and post content in real time during an actual poker tournament in the Los Angeles or Vegas area.
Why am I doing this poker channel? I want to share my experiences with people/family/friends who have a genuine interest in competition/poker but may be learning or have a difficult time balancing work and family with the game. Poker is not for the faint of heart and it has taught me lessons that I have applied in personal and professional life. Poker is a game of skill! This is not Black Jack where you draw cards against a casino and are dog statistically. In poker, you compete against other people. There are only two ways to win at poker…you are either have the best hand or you make your opponents believe you have the best hand. Simple right?
In addition, I am on a journey to earning a WSOP bracelet(s) and a WPT title. That is a lofty goal given my busy life outside of poker, but I am a believer that you need to aim high to achieve results.
Follow my journey!
