Add new accounts and opening balances using QuickBooks Pro 2019 - QuickBooks Desktop 2019. When setting up a new company file in QuickBooks Pro 2019 we often need to add beginning account balances, balances we had for the prior accounting system we were using. For example, we may already have a business checking account with money in it as we start the QuickBooks Program. We will add new accounts to the chart of accounts, add beginning balances, and check the financial statements to see how QuickBooks reports those balances.
