The Accipiter species are exclusively bound to woodlands. Inside older forests they construct their nests and chase perfectly moving with fast flight between tree trunks. Seldom they leave that space and remain unseen inside the wood, their presence only detected by their chasing and mating calls. During the February 2014 Weilmünster winter bird inventory a short videoprotocol of a crying goshawk (Accipiter gentilis) or sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus) was taken. The first 6 seconds of the 1 minute film give the call of the Accipiter sp., later we hear ravens and eurasian jay (garrulus glandarius).
