Is Darshan Getting Special Treatment in Jail? Exclusive Photos Exposed!
On Sunday, some pictures went viral of the Kannada film actor Darshan who is lodged in Bengaluru Central Jail in a murder case, is seen holding a mug and smoking cigarettes in an open place with his manager and some criminals serving jail sentence. After these pictures came to light, there was a stir, about giving VIP treatment inside the jail.
Following the incident, Home Minister G Parameshwara directed DG Jail Malini Krishnamurthy to investigate the matter and report immediately. After investigating the matter, IG Jail Anand Reddy said in his preliminary report that negligence has been committed by the jail management, ignoring the jail rules, under trial prisoners like Darshan and history sheeters serving jail sentences in other cases are being given VIP treatment in the jail.
According to some reports, those seated with Darshan are rowdy sheeter Wilson Garden Naga, and other inmates Nagaraj (the actor’s manager and co-accused) and Kulla Seena.
Actor Darshan, who is accused of murdering a youth named Renukaswamy. Renukaswamy had tortured Darshan's girlfriend Pavitra Gowda over the phone, due to which Darshan, being angry, along with his associates, killed Renukaswamy.
In that case, 17 people including Darshan and Pavitra Gowda were arrested by the police
Ever since Darshan has been in jail, the jail management has been accused of giving him VIP treatment, although the jail management has continuously denied these allegations and has also given an affidavit in the court opposing giving home-cooked food to Darshan.
Home Minister G Parameshwara said that there is a lapse from the department and they are taking the required actions, the Home Minister has suspended 7 officials including 2 jailers.
