From air tools like hammers and impact wrenches to paint spray guns and tire inflators, a compressed air system makes a mechanic’s life a lot easier. And what’s good for the professional shop works just as well in the home garage too. But putting air tools to work at home is not as easy as just dropping a big honkin’ air compressor in the corner of your shop though—the good news is, it’s not that difficult either.
In fact, we made this video to show you how to install some compressed air lines and drops for your air powered tools right at home. Starting with our EMAX air compressor, we used a handy kit from RapidAir to run our 3/4 inch air lines and install our air fittings, blocks, valves. We also installed a few other compressed air system essentials, like an air dryer and some retractable air hose reels. Watch this install video and you’ll learn some tips and tactics that’ll be vital when it comes time to build your own compressed air system for your home garage or workshop.
