Ibn Arabi asserts that the whole world of existence is imagination within imagination. His assertion departs from the fact that what we apprehend is not real. In other words, what we, as conscious beings, apprehend is imagination much like our dream. Just as we perceive ourselves as imagination, so we perceive the whole cosmos as imagination within imagination. All this is termed “nondelimited imagination” (al-khayal al-mutlaq) by Ibn Arabi, that is, imagination as the whole cosmic phenomenon.
This small channel is NOT monetized, so all ads suddenly appearing aren't for me, but for YouTube itself. You can absolutely watch my videos without contributing monetarily—that’s the very point. I believe University-quality education should be available freely to everyone and at everywhere. But if you want to support me and you’re in a position to do so, please support this small channel’s endeavour to increase Islamic literacy, in particular Sufism and Islamic philosophy, through educational content online on YouTube. Your monetary support does make the channel and the creator keep alive. Your support will really really help me when I have no money—and so often I really really don’t have.
