Lucy Davis (Dawn): ‘’Mum and dad had been out at a friend’s house and they’d asked for it to be put on. The moment where Dawn had come back into the party to get her man, this roar had gone up of joy.’’

Stephen Merchant: ‘’We sort of worked hard all the way through to make sure the love story was quite classic, traditional.’’
