Booster Draft is the ultimate test of your skills, and an important part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series premier events! Do you go for a brute-force approach, or try to assemble a combo-oriented Deck? Can you read the other players’ moves to figure out what they’re drafting, to give you an edge? Can you pass a card, hoping to pick it up the next time that stack goes around the table? These and other challenges await you in Battle Pack 3: Monster League. It’s an exciting and competitive Dueling experience where anything can happen and all monsters are treated as every monster Type! Because there are so many different options and different ways to draft a Deck, we’ve put together a series of videos showing you four drafting perspectives from an internal draft at Konami.
Here’s how a draft works: Each player starts with 9 Monster League Packs, and opens 3 of the packs to get a stack of 15 cards. Look at the cards and pick 1 to keep for your Deck. Pass the remaining 14 cards to the player on the left. Each player does this simultaneously, so that eventually you’re choosing a card from a stack of 13 cards, 12 cards and so on. Once this round is done, you repeat the steps for two more rounds, until each player has 45 cards in their card pool, to build a Deck of at least 40 cards.
