As has often been cited, English lead singer Tony Burrows is renowned for having been the session vocalist who was heard performing not only on “Love Grows,” but also on the hits “My Baby Loves Lovin’” (White Plains), “Gimme Dat Ding” (Pipkins), “United We Stand” (Brotherhood Of Man), and “Beach Baby” (First Class). The song’s co-writer and producer Tony Macaulay is an award-winning songwriter and musical theater composer whose best-known ‘pop’ songs also include “Build Me Up Buttercup,” “Baby Now That That I’ve Found You,” “Don’t Give Up On Us,” and “(Last Night) I Didn’t Get To Sleep At All.”
