Hanuman Tok, is a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, a little ahead of Ganesh Tok and 11 kms from Gangtok. It is managed by the Indian Army. This abode of Lord hanuman is connected to India's most popular religious mythological story - The Ramayana. According to belief Lord Hanuman rested here for a while, on his way back to Lanka carrying Sanjeevni booti or herb for Lord Laxman, brother of Lord Ram.
Perched on top of a hill it is surrounded by lush green forests on all sides. it also houses murals depicting inspiring tales from Shree Ram’s life and other religious events.
