🛑 Ao Nang Krabi Safari: Sadly, we cannot recommend this location. Witnessing the poor treatment of elephants by their mahouts was deeply upsetting. It’s a harsh reminder that not all establishments prioritize the well-being of these gentle giants.
✅ Huay Tho Waterfall Safari: A stark contrast to our first experience, this camp is a true sanctuary for elephants. Supported by the Asian Elephant Foundation of Thailand, this establishment treats its elephants like family. The animals thrive in a lush, green environment, receiving care and respect. It’s a place where you can witness the harmonious bond between humans and elephants, making it an experience we wholeheartedly recommend.
