🌿Herbal Foot Soak 🦶🏽Foot baths are a wonderful way to relieve sore feet. They are also a great option to unwind & relax. Depending on the herbs you use, foot baths can also help with pain & colds and work as an antifungal.
For this recipe, we used gentle healing & relaxing herbs:
- Lavandin flowers (2 tbsp.)
- Chamomile flowers (2 tbsp.)
- Lemon balm (2 tbsp.)
You can also add rose petals, holy basil or rosemary. (I made a particularly strong tea in the video as I wanted to make the most of my older herb stashes, so I cut the proportions in half in this caption.)
Steps:
- Heat up a large pot of boiling water. Turn off the heat once it’s boiling.
- Place the herbs in the pot. Cover and let infuse for 20 minutes.
- Strain your tea with a sieve. Pour straight into your shallow foot soak tub.
- Optional: add 2 tbsp. Epsom salts
- WAIT before putting your feet in. Test the temperature before dipping in your feet. Prepare a towel to keep next to the tub.
- Soak your feet for about 15 minutes. Rest & enjoy your special at-home treatment. You may add hot water to your foot bath as needed to heat it back up.
