Jay Shah, meanwhile, is set to retain his post as the BCCI secretary. The discussions were held in an internal BCCI meeting in Mumbai on Monday in the lead-up to the elections, scheduled for October 18, India Today sources have learned.
Roger Binny, who was part of the 1983 World Cup-winning team led by Kapil Dev, is likely to file his nomination for the post of BCCI chief on Tuesday. Candidates who are contesting for the BCCI office-bearers' post can file their nominations on Tuesday and Wednesday.
