One exciting module in our Extended Curriculum offering is the LEGO ‘Build The Change’ programme, a collaboration between Methodist Preschool and the LEGO Group. The enriching programme educates our young minds about the global concern of climate change, its effect on animals and their habitats, and the importance of environmental protection. With the understanding of the environmental problems, our little innovators are challenged to exercise their creativity using LEGO bricks and recycled materials to build solutions to address the concerns arising from climate change and to share their creative builds through a Show-and-tell session.
Besides creating the awareness in our little explorers about environmental challenges confronting Mother Earth, the LEGO Build The Change Programme fosters logical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills in our young innovators to become ‘builders of change’ to tackle environmental issues.
Children love the hands-on opportunities to work in teams to stretch their imagination while having lots of fun building with a wide variety of colourful LEGO bricks. A definite highlight of the programme is the Show-and-Tell sessions where our confident presenters showcase their creative builds to peers and teachers.
