If you need a big, practical five-seat Mazda, you don’t have to buy a CX-5. The brilliant Mazda 6 is still on the market, and even though it’s one of this Japanese brand’s oldest models, it has held up remarkably well thanks to a philosophy of continuous updating.
In fact, there’s a new grade of Mazda 6 for 2021 called the GT SP. With black highlights outside and burgundy leather upholstery inside, the 6 GT SP looks pretty lush. There are still four trims in the lineup, from the base model Sport to the top-shelf Atenza.
Like the Atenza, the 2021 Mazda 6 GT SP is powered by a torquey 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
But how does the Mazda 6 compare to traditional rivals like the Volkswagen Passat and Skoda Superb? Let’s find out!
In today’s video, Ponch takes a detailed look at the Mazda 6 in new high-spec GT SP guise to give you detailed insights about this vehicle.
