Cronobacter is a pathogenic bacterium, most well known for causing serious, life-threatening meningitis in newborn babies.
This presentation shows the variety of antibiotic resistance patterns which can be found in more than 2500 Cronobacter genomes.
The genomes were from strains isolated from 35 countries over more than 10 years, and from various sources (clinical and non-clinical).
A large range of resistance genes were found against penicillins, colistin, trimethoprim, aminoglycosides, and chloramphenicol.
