Welcome to Camping with Kim - my new camping channel and my ninth adventure! If you are here for the first time, I don’t talk in my videos and try to use as little music as possible. Please enjoy my laid-back camping!
Join me on my fall camping adventure to Arrowhead Provincial Park in Ontario Canada with my 2023 Honda CRV. I got a new bell tent and budget minded wood stove to try me some hot tenting!
I make quick work of a 3 hour drive north from Toronto by making a few very beautiful scenic spots. With the full swing of fall leaves changing color, time passes quickly with so much to see.
Upon arriving at Arrowhead, I immediately check out the Big Bend Lookout which is on every poster and website about this park. If the water levels were higher, I think it’ll be fun to float around the bend in a kayak like a lazy river.
Next on my list is to visit Stubb’s Falls – a must see for me since it’s a waterfall. I get to see it up close and personal. Don’t step on the dark wet rocks!
Just as I finish and head to my camp site, it starts to rain. No biggie – I packed a lunch and eat it in the car while waiting for the rain to die down. When it finally does, I setup my big new tent (only for the second time ever) and install my new wood stove. I forgot to burn the stove outside first, so there was some smell that was given off. Luckily after airing it out over dinner, things smelled normal again.
I make scallops, steak, potatoes and lobster for dinner. I retire inside the tent and setup a little projection screen and enjoy dessert. I demolished parfait cake in a can and chocolate mousse in a cup.
The next morning, I wake up to the pattering of rain on the tent. I slowly make breakfast of Ramyun noodles, a pork sausage patty and an egg.
I would say it was a very relaxing little trip again, just the way I like it. Not much to do but setup camp, enjoy some food and sleep.
Thanks again for watching and see you at my next camping adventure!
