A grandfather has been warned he could face legal action if he doesn't STOP mowing the grass outside his house. For the past 12 years, John Hyde has cut the patch of grass owned by the parish council in the village of Thorpe Willoughby near Selby.
John thought he was being public spirited, keeping the neighbourhood smart and helping himself to stay active after he suffered a stroke, but councillors have told him he must stop because they say he doesn't have permission to mow the grass.
