How to mix watercolour paints is often a problem when the choice of colours is so vast. In this video, I will show you the colours I have in my basic palette and how I mix them for different features of the landscape. This will help any beginner in watercolour to find their way through the huge choice of watercolour paints on the market. A limited palette is much easier to use and teaches us to more easily mix our own tones and values.

My Basic palette colours are:
Ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, cobalt blue, pyrrol scarlet, pyrrol crimson, light red, raw sienna ,hansa yellow medium, lemon yellow, burnt sienna, burnt umber ,naples yellow, moonglow. These are all Daniel Smith paints except naples yellow and light red which are Winsor & Newton
