Well I did it again, at first I thought cooking a steak in butter was silly due to how much butter you have to use for this method, but then I discovered just how delicious the butter gets after receiving not just the steak but all the aromatics as well. I freeze it in ice cube trays and then bag it up for all kinds of amazing purposes. I’ve used it for homemade tortillas, tamales, roux, and various sauces as well as just for basting steak in a regular fashion. The last time I did this I saved and used 100% of the leftover butter and I was only happier for it.
