Fitzroy Island trip. Great Barrier Reef Australia. Mum, Dad and Paulsoutdoor.

i took this journey with my Mum and Dad to this beautiful location on a short 45min boat ride from Cairns onto the beautiful Barrier Reef of Australia.

The water here is crystal clear , the beaches abound in a shore of coral and shells and the Island is covered in natural bush and rainforest reserve.
it was a balmy 38degrees and quite humid but that just added to the Tropical feel and ambience of Fitzroy Island.

With limited time we took in as much as we could.

The island itself is absolutely beautiful as is its surroundings and views.
I was a little disappointed in the availability of amenities and options for people visiting here for the Day.

**You can not use the resort or pool unless your staying here.**
**The bar and restaurant was closed and workman were carrying out repairs and noisy equipment was piercing the tranquility of this place.**
**The General store was more like a walk in closet .**
**No real restaurant/dining options unless you are staying at the resort**

All this DOES NOT deter the fact that this island is BEAUTIFUL but apart from the few limited activities this ideally is only worth a quick day or half day visit.
I still enjoyed my time and hope you enjoy watching this video.
