Winter weather returns as we kickoff the new year, leading us to issue a Weather Impact Alert both Wednesday and Thursday. A multiday lake effect snow event will impact parts of Northeast Ohio.
Lake snow will be arriving before midday and remain scattered through the evening and overnight. The highest impacts will be in the primary snowbelt.
A west-northwest wind will be established across the lower lakes generating lake-enhanced to lake effect snow showers. This wind direction will target the primary snowbelt areas.
