About Jim
Jim Doyle started his photography career after college in the early 70’s. The first years of his career were spent in the wedding and portrait business. In 1980 he left the photography business to work with his father in a family business responsible for and ended up running a company in Europe. In 2000 Jim’s focus shifted back to photography and in 2001 Applied Photography was formed to supply high architectural quality photography at a reasonable price.
“my goal was to assist each of my clients in setting themselves apart from the competition by ‘creating high quality images that sell’.”
Over the years, Jim has gained a reputation for working closely with his clients to supply high quality photography for their marketing materials.
Some of his achievements include;
2008 to present – Instructor of Photography at Rancho Santiago College, Orange CA
2014 President of the Professional Photographer of California
2015 Masters Degree in Photography from PPA
2015 1st Place Grand Imaging Award from the International Image Competition
Professional Photographers of America
Jim is a firm believer in the power of imagery and mentors other photographers through regular classes in the Art of Photography and Seeing & Photographing Architecture.
