Three civilians are reported to have been killed in a mortar attack in Sarajevo and several others have been wounded.
The U-N has launched an investigation into Sunday night's attack but says its too early to say who is to blame.
In its fourth year of war, the Bosnian capital is coming under renewed fire from Serb heavy weapons and its airport is shut, stemming the flow of aid.
U-N officials said Sunday that at least six 120mm mortar rounds had been fired by Bosnian Serbs at the centre of Sarajevo over the weekend.
Weapons of that size have been banned from a 12.5-mile zone around the capital for more than a year.
Rebel Bosnian Serbs withdrew most of their heavy weapons under an ultimatum issued by NATO after more than 60 people died in a mortar explosion at a Sarajevo market in February 1994. But not all have been removed.
