Bleaching Sand Dollars. We don't take live animals from the beach. These sand dollars were already dead when we took them from the beach. Remember- Let it go and let it grow!

Use a water/bleach solution, 4 to 1.

Depending on the quality on the sand dollar, leave them in the solution for 30 to 45 minutes. Do remember that the longer you leave them in the solution, the more brittle they can become.
