The people of Delhi and Haryana need to rally around and force he government's hand to safeguard this last vestige of ancient Aravalli Dhok forest around the Delhi NCR region, as a necessary green lung for the burgeoning city.
The fabulously dense Aravalli outcrop forest located around Mangar village in Haryana is one of the last vestiges of thick sylvan cover around the city of Delhi and its National Capital Region. This mostly Dhok tree forest is unique and non-replicable as it has taken thousands of years to develop in these difficult conditions of rocky Aravalli hills that experience intense summer heat and water deprivation.
