✅Air layering is a great way to propagate your lychee tree! Here's a breakdown of the process:

Materials:
Sharp knife or pruning shears
Cocopeat
250 ml plastic glass
Twine or zip tie
Optional: Aloe vera gel

Steps: 1
Select a healthy, young lychee branch that's about ½ inch in diameter. Ideally, it should be a branch with some leaves.

Carefully make two parallel cuts encircling the branch, about 1-1.5 inches apart. Remove bark and exposing the cambium layer underneath.

Apply aloe vera (optional): You can dab some aloe vera gel on the exposed area to promote root growth.

Steps:4
Prepare the rooting medium: I use cocopeat, if you don't have cocopeat you can use soil. Fill the plastic glass with moistened cocopeat. Enclose the entire air layering setup with a plastic bag. This will help maintain humidity and promote root formation.

Steps:5
Maintain moisture: Keep the cocopeat constantly moist add water once a week. Wait for roots In 4-6 weeks, roots should begin to develop within the cocopeat.

Steps:6
Monitoring roots development. Once the roots are around 2 inches long, you can cut the branch from the parent tree. Plant the new lychee tree in a pot with well-draining soil or directly in the ground.

Steps:7
Spring and early summer are considered the best times
for air layering lychee trees as the plant is actively growing.
