In this video I will be talking about something that is very important for live musicians, monitoring. More specifically, in ear monitoring.

In ear monitoring is a method of stage monitoring that you hear directly in your ears as opposed to via standard floor wedges. The advantages of in ear monitoring is a more direct sound that goes anywhere you go on stage, and more control over finer details of your stage mix.

The LD Systems U500 series is a wireless IEM setup that allows you to get awesome, wireless stage sound without breaking the bank. The set I am using in this video is the LD Systems U508 set, but check the link above to find which set matches the free frequencies for your specific country.

The live footage in this video is from a performance with a band called The Selection, you can find out more about them above. The sound was recorded straight to my Canon DSLR via the Sennheiser MKE408 microphone.
