The 53rd Kerala State Film Awards have been announced. The awards were announced by Culture Minister Saji Cherian. Actor Mammootty won the best actor award for the sixth time. Mammootty won the award for his performance in Nanpakal Nerath Mayakkum. Mammootty films Pushu, Nanpakal Nereth Mayakkum, Roshak and Bhishmaparvam were in the competition.
53-ാമത് കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാർഡുകൾ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. സാംസ്കാരിക വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി സജി ചെറിയാനാണ് അവാർഡുകൾ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. മികച്ച നടനുള്ള പുരസ്കാരം ആറാമതും നടൻ മമ്മൂട്ടി സ്വന്തമാക്കി. നൻപകൽ നേരത്ത് മയക്കം എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ അഭിനയത്തിനാണ് മമ്മൂട്ടി പുരസ്കാര അർഹൻ ആയത്. പുഴു, നന്‍പകല്‍ നേരത്ത് മയക്കം, റോഷാക്ക്, ഭീഷ്മപര്‍വ്വം എന്നീ മമ്മൂട്ടി ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് മത്സരത്തില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്.
വിൻസി അലോഷ്യസ് ആണ് മികച്ച നടി. രേഖ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ അഭിനയത്തിനാണ് വിൻസി പുരസ്കാരത്തിന് അർഹയായത്. ലിജോ ജോസ് പെല്ലിശ്ശേരി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത നന്‍പകല്‍ നേരത്ത് മയക്കത്തിനാണ് മികച്ച സിനിമയ്ക്കുള്ള പുരസ്കാരം. അറിയിപ്പ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന് മഹേഷ് നാരായണനാണ് മികച്ച സംവിധായകനുള്ള പുരസ്കാരം.
ന്നാ താൻ കേസ് കൊട് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രകടനമികവിന് കുഞ്ചാക്കോ ബോബനും അപ്പൻ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ അലൻസിയറും പ്രത്യേക ജൂറി പരാമർശം നേടി. സ്വഭാവനടിയായി സൗദി വെള്ളക്കയിലെ അഭിനയത്തിന് ദേവി വർമയെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.
