Pure Fishing was sold to Sycamore Partners in 2018 by Newell Brands just two years after acquiring it from Jarden Corp in 2016. Jarden bought Pure Fishing in 2007.
In the fiscal year before the sale to Sycamore Partners, Pure Fishing has 556 million in overall sales across all brands in its portfolio.
Sycamore Partners has over 10 billion in assets under management including brands like Staples, Hot Topic, The Limited, Talbots, Coldwater Creek and Belk Stores
