📀 A Field Guide To The Void
Legowelt returns to Clone Records with yet another sonic journey that defies conventional electronic music boundaries, offering an album that is as eclectic as it is immersive. Blending different styles and textures seamlessly and proving that electronic music can still be creative and that function doesn't always prevail style. He delivers a collection that transports listeners through a kaleidoscope of retro-futuristic sounds, deep grooves, and cosmic melodies. Despite being in the music game for more than 25 years the music from Danny Wolfers remains playful and refreshing. Stylistically taking elements from his whole musical career and not commiting to the latest trend or any genre specifically, and low-key taking the piss with everyone who takes themself to seriously. While many electronic music artists are stuck in their own void, busy pleasing the big room, Legowelt meticulously crafts rich textured soundscapes, balancing between cosmic exploration and the dancefoor, that evoke both nostalgia and futuristic visions. His ability to fuse elements of house, techno, disco and electro with cinematic influences results in an album that is not only ready for club use but also gratifying at home. Each track offers something unique--whether it's the hypnotic rhythms, the lush synth lines, or the subtle, eerie undertones that creep in unexpectedly. Legowelt's attention to detail and passion for his craft shine through, making this album a worthy follow up to his last album on the Clone Jack For Daze series.
🎧 Legowelt
Danny Wolfers is truly one of a kind. A producer and performer who spans many different scenes with ease and always in his own unique style a world away from the usual hype or trends of any given day...
His vast musical output spans many different worlds – some real, some imagined - and does so in a unique and captivating fashion that keeps listeners enthralled. Since first emerging in the early nineties as a key part of the Dutch West Coast scene and Bunker family, he has become a core member of that crew who takes inspiration from Detroit and Chicago pioneers but also fantasy films and sci-fi culture, and is nowadays a modern day techno pin-up in his own rite.
What's more, rarely does a year go by when he doesn't release an essential album. Most frequently producing as Legowelt, his unique style comes form an unfaltering devotion to hardware, be it old, new or totally knackered. Jamming all day long on music making toys, his output veers from dense and foresty techno to whizzing electro, deeper electronic and stuff for which there isn't even a name yet. Clone, L.I.E.S., Creme Organization, Peoples Potential Unlimited, Dekmantel, you name it, they have all come calling for the man's music. Quite simply the guy is an artist and musical force that cannot be stopped.

📡 Clone Records
Rotterdam, Netherlands. Dutch electro, techno and house label. Clone Records was founded by Serge Verschuur at the end of 1992. The Dutch DJ and producer experienced the 80's as a period in which a generation was anxiously looking forward for what was to come next. The new millennium was on everyone's mind, for some with fear, for some with eagerness. All of a sudden the music from the future, made by unknown bedroom producers expressing themselves through machines, had arrived. This futuristic music connected like-minded people all over the world and initiated an evolution in the world of electronic music. It inspired Serge to start his own imprint as an outlet for that same machine music. The first Clone Records release by Dutch techno group Orx was a fact in late 1992. In the next decades a new generation was setting the pace. A minority of Techno- and House music lovers had grown into an established movement. The future was no future anymore; it had become the present and therefore it seemed less exciting. People started looking at the past again to relive the early days of electronic dance music. In the meantime the small Clone operation had transformed into a successful record label with a record store and distributor as a solid side business. Now, 25 years later, Clone Records is still doing business its own way, releasing music that excites the men you never see. With a heart for the classic and an ear for the new, the label is looking at the future again.
