Today, I will show you how to convert old 8mm tapes to digital High Defenition at 1080P (HD) with the DigitNow Video recorder that converts all your old videos into MOV files that can be played and edited on your computer and is available from [ Ссылка ]
This video is very useful if you have lots of home videos stored on 8mm or High8 tapes VHS, Beta and other older style videos tapes because now you can convert all your old videos into MOV with no computer software and edit them on your computer an play back your videos on any TV.
You will need a second SD Card, recommend Sandisk Extreme Pro 128G: [ Ссылка ]
Best editing software I found is Filmora. [ Ссылка ]
I found good prices for USB-C to HDMI to send a signal from your phone to the recorder at Ebay. [ Ссылка ]
Yes, this DigitNow video box includes a 64G SD card to transfer the files into MOV format; however, I also recommend using the Extreme or Extreme Pro Sandisc 64 or 128 Gig card to save your recorded content as they have a faster write speed and are better for recording HD content.
This DigitNow portable video capture device records incoming video at both 1080P and 720P from any VCR's, VHS Tapes, Hi8, Camcorder, DVD, TV BOX & Gaming Systems.
The recorder uses a 5" OLED Screen and has a built-in large capacity battery. This unit can work via battery or by the power adapter or USB port. No computer is needed to record or playback your recordings. The video recorder box has a HDMI and AV 3.5mm input and output, volume buttons and is very easy to use. The built in stereo speakers are clear and plenty loud for personal viewing.
When recording from a VCR just plug in your included AV cables and record.
Recording from video camera or old 8mm/Hi8 or other video formats you may need to use other adapters and different cable connections. For example my 8mm video player only sends a video signal via S-Video and so I had to get a couple extra adapters.
They were:
- Video AV Component Adapter: [ Ссылка ]
- S-video Adapter Male to Female: [ Ссылка ]
- VGA to HDMI (It makes sense to me that VGA is possible to record if you use a VGA to HDMI converter, I haven't tried this myself, but I have to believe it's possible:

- Apple TV box: [ Ссылка ]
- Extra HDMI cable: [ Ссылка ]
The software I use to make the videos is Filmora Software because it's easy to use and I love it. Here’s a link for 30 day trial.
