Hundreds of Ruai residents who were left homeless after their houses were demolished by the government to pave way for the expansion of the Ruai Sewage Treatment plant in Nairobi have insisted that they will stay put until they are offered alternative land to settle in. A spot check by citizen TV earlier today revealed that the residents have resorted to living in makeshift structures which they claim were demolished last night to force them out of the land.
