Station 19, Season 7, Episode 5 Since Maya had always refused to become pregnant because she wouldn't be able to carry out her profession if she became pregnant, Carina's revelation that her eggs were inviable threatened to derail all of her and Maya's plans to expand their family. Maya had, however, accepted starting a family with Carina, as evidenced by her sudden and spontaneous request to use her eggs.
