Each quarter MCCA hosts 60-minute Town Halls via Zoom or telephonically to connect with our members, sponsors, and prospective members about our programs. It also is an opportunity for our members to provide constructive feedback and engage to achieve our mission and vision.
Our Second Quarter Town Hall, which we hosted on June 9, 2020 via Zoom focused on how we all can serve as anti-racists and what we can do to fight for fairness and justice. It was the first of many discussions on what the MCCA community can do to be more accountable and self-reflective to solve the greatest social challenges of our time: systemic racism, to ensure sustainable change. We thank Dr. Courtney Cogburn, Ph.D for leading the first discussion and helping us frame the issue regarding systemic racism, examining the roadblocks and how to find pathways to being an anti-racist. There is still much work to be done in achieving racial equity. MCCA has been committed to this work for over 23 years and we will not stop until the legal profession is as diverse as the world we live in. We invite you to join our movement for eradicating systemic racism!
